7-Day Itinerary in Peru: Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Private Transfer to the Sacred Valley

Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, our team will greet you for a private transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way, we’ll make strategic stops to acclimate and enjoy the beautiful Andean scenery, including panoramic viewpoints and local markets.

Rest of the day: Free to relax and adapt to the altitude.

Day 2: Full-Day Tour of the Sacred Valley – Pisac and Ollantaytambo

After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will begin a full-day excursion through the Sacred Valley. We’ll visit the picturesque town of Pisac, its famous handicraft market, and its impressive archaeological site. Then we continue to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with an incredible fortress and original Inca city planning.

Day 3: ATV Adventure – Maras and Moray

Today, we’ll enjoy an exciting ATV (quad bike) tour through the rural landscapes of the Sacred Valley. We will visit the fascinating circular agricultural terraces of Moray and the Maras Salt Mines, where salt is still extracted using traditional methods.

Day 4: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

Early in the morning, we head to the train station to board our train to Aguas Calientes. From there, we’ll take a bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We’ll enjoy a guided tour through the main sectors of the archaeological site.
In the afternoon, we’ll return by train and transfer back to Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco City Tour

In the morning, we’ll explore the imperial city of Cusco. We will visit the Cathedral, the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), and nearby archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay.
Afternoon free to explore the city or go shopping.

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain Excursion

Early departure to the south of Cusco for a trek to the famous Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), one of Peru’s natural wonders. This is a moderate hike at high altitude, offering breathtaking views as a reward for your effort.

Day 7: Return to Lima – End of Services

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima.
